Support means better groomed trails

The Kachemak Nordic Ski Club would like to thank the Tin Roof Fund, a donor-advised fund of the Homer Foundation, for the generous support provided for the purchase of a new snowmachine for the ski club. The money provided by this grant was used to help fund the purchase of an Arctic Cat Bearcat snowmachine from Lower Peninsula Power Sports in Homer. This machine is now being used to groom the ski trails at the Baycrest cross country ski area. The addition of this machine greatly increases the ability of the club to provide the grooming necessary for the excellent skiing residents of Homer as well as winter visitors have come to expect.

The trails maintained by KNSC provide cross country skiing opportunities for all, from beginning skiers to experienced racers. We invite everyone to come out and experience the excellent groomed trails that our volunteers are able to provide with the help of the equipment obtained through projects such as this.
