Registration has started for June workshops: Watercolor Painting with Jan Peyton, June 15-18 and Plants/Flora of Kachemak Bay with Ed Berg, June 16-July 14. Brian Partridge conducts a public lecture called How Adolescents Learn, about new research from neuropsychologists. The lecture will be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The Hollywood Alaska film series continues at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, with The Silver Horde, depicting the struggle over Alaska salmon, based on the 1908 Rex Beach novel. The Ripple Effect film series, which explores thought-provoking issues, shows Addicted to Plastic shows on at 7:15 p.m. today. The national GED exam-testing program will soon become computer-based with an increase in fees. If you have not finished your GED testing, do it now.
