The police tape surrounding the Homer Elks Club on Sunday was not what it appeared. Instead of marking a crime scene, the tape was there to keep hordes of eager children from getting an advance look at the site of the Elkspi annual Easter egg hunt.

Dozens of children were at the club to greet the Easter Bunny, who dropped in by helicopter. Over the course of a couple of hours, a furry eared Donna Anderson welcomed nearly every wide-eyed child onto her lap. Only a few burst into tears, she said.
