Troopers




March 21

Alaska State Troopers at 4:15 p.m. attempted to stop the driver of a black 2006 VW Passat near Mile 12.5 East End Road for a traffic violation. Troopers allege the driver sped away. They later found the car crashed in the driveway of a home on Upland Road. Troopers followed tracks in the snow back to East End Road and said the tracks matched footprints of a suspect at a Razdolna home. The occupants of the home refused to be identified. Troopers ask that anyone who provided a ride to pedestrians in the East End Road area about 4:15 p.m. March 21 contact them at 235-3000. An investigation is ongoing. Troopers impounded the VW.

March 22

At 2:10 p.m. a person reported to troopers that an 81-year-old Ninilchik man was in violation of the conditions of his release by being outside the sight and sound of his third-party custodian when he was left unattended in a parking lot.

Troopers at 8 a.m. received a report that a 21-year-old Nanwalek man crashed his ATV in Nanwalek. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

March 23

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 32-year-old Anchor Point man for providing a false statement on a 2009 sportfish license application.

Troopers cited a 28-year-old Anchor Point man for providing a false statement on a 2010 sportfish and hunting license application.

March 24

Troopers at 9:10 p.m. stopped a 30-year-old Homer man and a 40-year-old Anchor Point woman for a traffic violation on the Sterling Highway near Homer. Troopers allege the man drove without a valid driver's license and that the woman was seen earlier also driving without a valid driver's license. Both were issued summonses.

Troopers at 9:47 p.m. went to an Anchor Point home for a report of a disturbance. Troopers allege a 40-year-old Anchor Point woman damaged the property of another person valued at over $200. They issued a summons against the woman for fourth-degree criminal mischief. Troopers alleged that while investigating the disturbance a 31-year-old Anchor Point man created a hazardous condition for others and arrested him. Alcohol was involved in the incident. Investigation complete.

March 26

Troopers at 11:20 p.m. arrested a 36-year-old Homer man on East End Road.

Troopers at 6:20 p.m. contacted a 23-year-old Anchor Point man near Homer for a traffic violation and allege he drove while his license was suspended. He was issued a summons for DUI.

March 27

Troopers at 12:09 p.m. stopped a 33-year-old Sterling man driving on the Sterling Highway near Homer and issued him a summons for driving license revoked and not having insurance.
