The Kenai Peninsula Borough Office of Emergency Management will hold a test of the tsunami alert system between 9:45 and 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 28. Although sirens will sound and an announcer will say, "Attention, a tsunami warning has been issued for this area. Turn to your local radio station for details," the warning is only a test. A warning also will go out on television and radio. It is not a real emergency. Do not evacuate low-lying areas and do not call 911.
