March 12

An employee at 9:08 a.m. reported shoplifting at a Lake Street store. At 2:19 p.m. the employee reported a shoplifter in custody. Police arrested an 18-year-old man for concealment of stolen property.

A woman at 11 a.m. reported a man outside a Lake Street store panhandling and looking for work. The caller asked police to have the man move, but he was gone when police arrived.

A woman at 1:25 p.m. reported her Fairview Avenue house had been vandalized.

A woman at 3:34 p.m. reported fraudulent use of a signature.

March 13

A caller at 9 a.m. reported seven abandoned vehicles at a Fairview Avenue address.

A man at 11:22 p.m. reported hearing yelling and then three shots on Fairview Avenue.

A woman at 9:54 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a woman friend who had just gotten out of the hospital and didnt answer her phone. Police checked on the friend. She said she was sleeping and didnt want to be disturbed.

March 14

A dispatcher at 2:32 p.m. reported a distraught woman on the phone who needed help at a Skyline Drive home. Police responded.

A woman at 4:15 p.m. reported receiving harassing text messages.

A woman at 5:15 p.m. reported receiving threatening text messages.

A person at 9:34 p.m. reported an Ocean Drive Loop neighbor makes excessive noise and that it has been an ongoing problem.

Police at 10:26 p.m. contacted a 48-year-old man driving on Pioneer Avenue and issued him a summons for driving while license revoked.

A man at 10:39 p.m. reported he pulled a man from the water on the Homer Spit near Mile 4 Homer Spit Road and that the man was hypothermic. EMTs responded.

A man at 11:16 p.m. reported he saw a man and woman rifling through his car parked on Soundview Avenue. The couple left on foot heading toward Bartlett Street. Police responded but could not locate the suspects.

March 15

A man at 8:26 a.m. reported items stolen from his unlocked car on Bayview Avenue.

A man at 9:41 a.m. reported a window broken out of his daughters car parked at the long term parking area of the airport on the Kachemak Drive side.

A man at 10:26 a.m. reported seeing a man possessing a large amount of marijuana in a car parked on Freight Dock Road.

A man at 11:51 a.m. reported someone rummaged through his car parked on Mountainview Drive.

A woman at 1:38 p.m. asked police for information on the buying and selling of a firearm.

Police at 1:20 p.m. served a short-term protective order.

A caller at 3:50 p.m. reported an elderly person at a care facility might be the victim of fraud from family members.

March 16

Police at 1:28 a.m. saw a fight in progress on Pioneer Avenue. The combatants dispersed.

A caller at 9:33 a.m. reported a woman backed into and damaged her car parked at a Sterling Highway lot and then drove away.

A man at 10:12 a.m. reported gasoline stolen at a Mountainview Drive address.

A VA employee at 12:17 p.m. reported a man threatened suicide. Police responded and took the man to South Peninsula Hospital for evaluation.

A woman at 12:30 p.m. reported a theft from a car parked on Mountainview Drive.

A woman at 1:22 p.m. reported her elderly mother was the victim of fraud.

March 17

A person at 12:24 a.m. made a 911 call of a car off the road near East End Road and Ben Walters Lane. Police responded and arrested a 40-year-old woman for driving under the influence.

Callers and police between 9:57 a.m. and 10:18 a.m. reported cars broken into on Kachemak Drive.

Police at 7:39 p.m. contacted a 22-year-old man driving on Pioneer Avenue and arrested him for driving while license suspended.

March 18

Police at 3:13 a.m. contacted a person entering a Spit building.

A man at 1:37 p.m. reported a domestic dispute going on at a Pioneer Avenue home. Police responded and determined it was a verbal dispute only. A woman left the area.
