March 7

Alaska State Troopers at 7:20 p.m. went to a truck rollover with injuries at Mile 163.4 Sterling Highway near Homer. Troopers said a 46-year-old Anchor Point man lost control of his truck on icy roads, crossed into the other lane and rolled. EMTs took the man to South Peninsula Hospital with minor injuries. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions and not wearing a seatbelt.

March 8

Troopers at 11:40 a.m. went to an Anchor Point home to pick up a 39-year-old man who had not returned to jail as a condition of his release. The man was allowed to leave jail to attend a funeral but he left his third-party custodian when he was to return to jail. When troopers arrived, the man fled into the woods. A K-9 trooper and his dog partner tracked the man hiding under a tree. He was taken to jail. Another man contacted, a 26-year-old Wasilla man, was found to have an outstanding warrant and also was arrested.

March 9

Troopers at 4:55 p.m. stopped a 41-year-old Anchor Point woman driving near Happy Valley for a traffic violation and arrested her for driving with a revoked license. She also was cited for failure to wear a seat belt and not having insurance.

Troopers at 8:27 a.m. received a report that a 20-year-old Seldovia man had a party at his home and was alleged to have provided marijuana to two juveniles under age 16 and allowed three juveniles under age 18 to possess a scheduled VIA controlled substance. Troopers arrested the man and charged him with two counts of third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
