Talent show, auction big hits

The McNeil Canyon Talent Show and Auction were a huge success. Not only was the entertainment wonderful, the bidding was quite entertaining as well. Thanks to all who brought the delicious pies, cakes and baked goods. And again many thanks go out to our silent auction donors: Sasquatch Alaska Adventure Co., Loopy Lupine, Two Sisters Bakery, Bret Glidden at Elements Salon, K-Bay Caffe, Therapeutic Massage by Andrea Huyck and ceramic work by Maygen Jannette. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

McNeil Canyon Community Council

the McNeil Canyon Dragons are celebrating Dr. Seuss birthday by participating in a reading challenge Read With Me. For the past two weeks we have been reading daily, we log our total minutes in a reading passport. the passport has extra activities in the back for bonus points. Writing a letter to the editor is one of the activities that you can do for ten bonus points. One of our other favorite activities was visiting the RFI reading planet website, where we finished a story that other people had started. At the end of reading challenge everyone in our school gets together and has a big birthday party for Dr. Seuss!
