Marine refrigeration class to be taught in Homer




The registration deadline is March 22 for a one-day onboard marine refrigeration workshop in Homer. Sponsored by the Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program, the workshop will be from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. March 27 at Kachemak Gear Shed, 3625 East End Road. Tuition is $200. The instructor will be D.C. Cannon of Integrated Marine Systems. Topics include refrigeration theory, maintenance, troubleshooting and system sizing. The course features supervised, hands-on training using a custom refrigeration training unit. A refrigeration manual also is included.
