The Kachemak Gun Club holds its annual membership meeting to elect new board members and officers at 1 p.m. Saturday at the gun club range located up the hill at Mile 160 Sterling Highway. All club members as well as interested members of the community are invited to attend to help us make plans for the future of the range facility.Please call Michael Craig at 235-0631 if you have questions.

The Kachemak Bay Birders next monthly meeting is 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Islands and Ocean Visitor Center in the auditorium. Please note this meeting is one week earlier than the usual meeting date. Following the brief meeting, there will be a presentation by Aaron Lang on birding in Bhutan: Birding in the Kingdom of the Clouds. Anyone who is interested in birding, birds and their habitats, citizen science or would just like to know more about our organization is welcome to attend. The Kachemak Bay Research Reserve Community Council invites the public to its next regular meeting from noon-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center. For more information, please contact Terry Thompson at 226-4656.

The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies is running a snowshoe rental program. This program is free to members, or rent five and get the sixth rental free for all others. For information, call 235-6667.

The Homer Ministerial Association announces the yearly One Lord Sunday event. takes place at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Homer High School gym. More than 10 churches come together to worship at this annual event. All are welcome. Special childrens service provided. This years theme is Church Outside the Walls

The Alaska Bible Institute holds its graduation ceremony at 7 p.m. March 30. Due to space constraints, guests are limited to high school students and older. no child care is available. The celebration will be he at the ABI Campus at 1295 Mission Road.

Ukulele musicians are invited to join other ukulele musicians for an hour of sharing music at 10 a.m. on Saturdays at Friendship Terrace, 250 Herndon Drive.

Registration starts soon for the 20th annual Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival, to be held May 10-13. The keynote speaker is George Archibald of the International Crane Foundation. Feature writer Mark Obmascik, author of The Big Year, speaks on how his book became a movie.
