Rush no way to start a day

The Great Maligner, Rush Limbaugh, after three days of attempting to savage and humiliate Sandra Fluke, a 30-year-old George Town law student, calling her a slut and worse for her testimony before a congressional committee on the medical importance of universal access to birth control for woman, has apologized. The apology, of course, was forthcoming only after Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Carbonite, Sleep Train and Sleep Number pulled their advertising from his show.

After reading his apology, lets hope that not only these companies, but all his advertising sponsors thumbs-down him.

His apology went: My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

An attempt to be humorous, Rush? Im not going to pollute the paper with the obscenity of your word choices, but they were, absolutely, that of a lecher.

Anyway, Abraham Lincoln in his 1862 annual message to Congress in his concluding remarks reflected: We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope on earth. Limbaughs pure meanness has made for himself quite a following. How tragically ironic it is the Republican Party, Lincolns Party, has become so possessed by such a warping man.

The party needs to emancipate itself from him from his clutches. Hes made the party into a grotesque toy to parlay vainglory and riches for himself.

First thing in the morning, three hours a day, five days a week of that mans vile, foisted as news commentary and entertainment, for over 20 years, now, has worked to warp our national soul. Hes pioneered anger as a multimillion dollar entertainment form. Lets, at long last, have the moral bearing to turn him off. Hes no comedian. Hes what we natural born anthropologists classify as an angermeanian or should the classification be, rather, an anger-medium?

Seems the criteria for being a Republican anymore is: thou shall supplicate before that great anger-medium, Rush Limbaugh.

Anyway, hes not the stuff to start out your day with. Dracula might ditto him. If one must, slot him for the middle of the night. I dont quake in my shoes before him; Im glad he doesnt speak for me.
