Mardi Gras party big hit

The Friends of the Homer Public Library would like to thank all those who helped make the recent Mardi Gras after-hours party at the Homer Public Library a huge success. More than 80 youth and their parents joined in the fun, making Mardi Gras masks, listening to Cajun music and stories and enjoying treats.

The Friends would like to thank several people who helped make this evening possible, including members of Rayjen Cajun (Ray Garrety, Jennifer King, Emily Garrety and Jeff Sarzi), Craig Phillips for his always-entertaining storytelling, Karen Berger and Homer Brewery, Charlie Stewart, Fritz Creek General Store and Diana Carbonell, Rick Cline, Andy Haas and the many others who pitched in to help with the festivities.
