Adele D. Unger, 75, died at home in Green Valley, Ariz., on Jan. 25, 2012, after battling several years with severe lung problems.

She was born April 17, 1936, in Torrance, Calif., to Vern and Virginia Lahr. Adele graduated from high school in Gardena, Calif., and moved to Eagle Lake, Calif., shortly after. On Dec. 22, 1967, Adele was united in marriage to Rainer Unger in Reno, Nev.

In the spring of 1982, Adele moved with her husband to Homer, where they had many wonderful adventures while residing there until August of 2011.

Adele is preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Virginia Lahr; her brother, Lyle Lahr and daughter, Melinda Mueller.

Adele is survived by her husband, Rainer Unger of Green Valley, Ariz.; son-in-law, Gary Mueller of Eagle Lake, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Barbara Dahl of Anchor Point; five grandchildren, Dustin and Lauren Mueller and Darin and Holly Mueller of Susanville, Calif., Colby and Annajoy Babcock of Soldotna, Lindsay and Russell Kuipers of Anchorage, and RyAnn Dahl of Anchor Point; and six great-grandchildren.
