Project GRAD says thanks

Project GRAD Kenai Peninsula acknowledges Wells Fargo Bank for its generous donation to the upcoming 2012 Summer Institute. With the support of organizations like Wells Fargo and individuals throughout the community, PGKP works in seven underserved Kenai Peninsula communities to create a rigorous college-bound culture by raising the bar for achievement in English and math; offering summer institutes at the local Kachemak Bay Campus of KPC that help prepare students for the demands of college; connecting students to successful mentors; and guaranteeing college scholarships of up to $4,000 for students who register with the program and meet its goals.

Since the first graduating class of GRAD scholars, PGKP has awarded $ 85,500 in postsecondary tuition assistance to students for whom high school graduation and higher education are often considered out of reach. Thanks to Wells Fargo for reaching out to the youth on the Kenai Peninsula and helping them achieve their dreams.
