Feb. 12

Alaska State Troopers at 12:45 a.m. went to a disturbance near Ninilchik. Troopers allege a 22-year-old Ninilchik man assaulted a woman earlier while the two were in Kenai. Troopers arrested the man for fourth-degree assault.

Feb. 17

Troopers at 10:46 a.m. stopped a 40-year-old Homer man driving near Mile 3 East End Road for a traffic infraction and arrested him for driving under the influence.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 26-year-old Oklahoma man for making a false claim of Alaska residency on a 2011 resident sport fishing and hunting license application. Troopers allege the man had only lived seven months in Alaska when he applied for the license and did not qualify. They allege he also made a false statement on a 2011 draw permit application claiming Alaska residency. The investigation started in May 2011 when wildlife troopers contacted him in the Homer Harbor before a spring black bear hunt.

Feb. 19

Troopers at 10:21 a.m. contacted a 41-year-old Homer man near Mile 9 East End Road for a traffic violation. They issued him a summons for driving without a valid drivers license after discovering he had an expired Tennessee drivers license.

Troopers at 7:40 p.m. went to a large underage drinking party at Basargin Road and East End Road. Troopers cited a 20-year-old Homer man and an 18-year-old Kachemak Selo man for minor consuming alcohol. They also cited and arrested a 20-year-old Voznesenka man for minor consuming alcohol, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after he allegedly refused to be served with a citation.

Feb. 21

Troopers at 12:45 p.m. went to a two-car crash on the Sterling Highway near Anchor Point. Troopers allege a 69-year-old Kasilof man driving south tried to pass another car heading south as the driver tried to turn off the highway. All parties wore seat belts. One person complained of head pain but did not need medical attention. Troopers cited the Kasilof man for failure to exercise due caution.

Feb. 24

Troopers at 2 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 44-year-old Homer man driving in Homer and cited him for driving while license revoked.

Feb. 25

Troopers at 3:59 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 31-year-old Anchorage man driving in Homer and cited him for not having a valid operators license.
