Feb. 20 Police at 12:56 a.m. assisted firefighters in responding to a vehicle fire on Pennock Street. A woman at 7:29 a.m. reported her son had run away and asked police to pick him up at Homer High School. Police couldnt find the boy. A South Peninsula Hospital official at 12:27 p.m. reported a child patient who allegedly had been abused. Police responded. A caller at 1:55 p.m. reported a moose kneeling in the roadway near Mile 170 Sterling Highway. Police responded and found the moose was OK. A caller at 4:11 p.m. reported two juveniles pointing weapons into the road at East End Road and Mattox Street. Police responded and determined all was OK. A woman at 5:20 p.m. reported juveniles trying to get people to buy cigarettes for them. Feb. 21 A man at 1:13 p.m. reported a lost wedding ring in the Homer area. A caller at 6:51 p.m. reported a boy who appeared to be carrying a rifle in the Elderberry Court area. Police could not find the suspect. Feb. 22 A caller at 3:50 p.m. reported a woman at a Kachemak Drive business refused to leave and might be drunk. Police contacted the woman and determined she wasnt drunk. Police gave the woman a trespass notice and took her to the hospital for evaluation. Police at 6:47 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 20-year-old man near West Hill and the Sterling Highway and arrested him on an outstanding warrant. Feb. 23 Police at 12:54 p.m. received a request from the Gravette, Ark., police department seeing assistance with a sexual abuse case. A woman at 1:30 p.m. reported her ex-boyfriend was stalking her. A caller at 9:28 p.m. reported a moose lying on the road in a dangerous position near Mile 1 Kachemak Drive. A caller at 10:41 p.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at a local motel. Police responded. Police at 11:18 a.m. issued a summons to a 19-year-old man for not having liability insurance. Feb. 24 A caller at 12:02 a.m. reported a person previously issued a trespass notice from a local motel had returned. Police arrested a 22-year-old man for trespassing. A caller at 4:30 p.m. reported a woman expressed suicidal thoughts. Police took the woman to the hospital for evaluation. Feb. 25 A man at 8:39 a.m. reported clothing was stolen from the laundry area at a local motel. The man later called and said most of the missing items were found. A man at 11:30 a.m. brought in unexploded seal bombs to be disposed of as he no longer uses them. A man at 11:45 a.m. reported the rear license plate of his car was stolen while it was parked on the Homer Spit. A caller at 11:50 p.m. reported a possible underage drinking party on East End Road. Police responded. Feb. 26 A man at 2:23 a.m. reported hearing yelling outside his Highland Avenue home. Police responded. A woman at 10:43 a.m. reported her car was hit and damaged while parked overnight at a Pioneer Avenue bar. A man at 2:14 p.m. reported a plow truck driver allegedly threatened him. Police advised the man to call Public Works. A woman at 10:54 p.m. made a 911 call that her daughter acted aggressively at her Main Street home. Police responded. Feb. 27 A woman at 12:03 p.m. reported a moose stomped her secured dog.
