The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies is running a snowshoe rental program. This program is free to members, or rent five and get the sixth rental free for all others. For information, call 235-6667.

Ukulele musicians of all abilities are invited to join other ukulele musicians for an hour of sharing music at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays at Friendship Terrace, 250 Herndon Drive.

The Seldovia Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Multi-Purpose Room to hold elections for four regular three-year seats and up to two one-year alternate seats.Also on the agenda will be a discussion of the anadromous streams catalog, antlerless moose reauthorization proposals for the Interior Region Board of Game meeting and any other proposals the public may wish to discuss, which may include proposals to submit for the April 10 Board of Fish deadline or the May 1 Southcentral Region Board of Game deadline. The Kachemak Bay Birders First Saturday birding trip will be on Saturday, on the Spit. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the parking lot at the base of the Spit on Kachemak Drive. This trip is cosponsored by the Kachemak Bay Birders and the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. The leader will be Michael Craig and for more information give him a call (235-0631). There is no charge and everyone is welcome to attend. Bring binoculars and dress warmly.

The Alaska Peony Growers Association is hosting a meeting open to all who are interested in the peony cut flower industry. It will be held at 1 p.m. March 10 at the Bidarka Inn in the downstairs conference room. Tea and coffee will be served. All are welcome.
