Homer Senior Citizens lunch is open to seniors and their guests and is served 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday. The lunch menu for this week is: today, halibut; Friday, swiss steak; Monday, spaghetti with meat sauce; Tuesday, baked sockeye salmon; Wednesday, beef/chicken.

Helpers are needed for various programs, from adult day services to Meals on Wheels. There are opportunities for one-on-one connections, project or group activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the activities director at 235-7655, extension 42.

The Homer Senior Center and Alaska Commission on Aging bring teleconferences of Legislative sessions in Juneau from 9:30-11 a.m. on March 3, 17 and 31 and on April 7, 14 and 21 at the Senior Center Board Room.

AARP tax preparation is available at the senior center. Call 235-7655 to make an appointment.
