Feb. 13-19

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to 12 medical calls and one fire call.

Feb. 20

Firefighters at 12:59 a.m. went to a car fire on Pennock Street. Two Homer Police officers arrived before firefighters and had knocked down the fire with extinguishers. Firefighters found a Ford Explorer in the road with heavy smoke and fire coming from the engine. They put out the fire and confined it to the engine compartment with some smoke damage to the inside of the car.
