Feb. 11

A caller at 2:43 p.m. reported losing a bag near the Homer Airport.

A caller at 3:31 p.m. reported a dog harassed a moose in the Klondike Avenue area. Police notified the animal control officer.

Police at 7:11 p.m. served a protective order on a person at a Bartlett Street address.

Feb. 12

A caller at 8:44 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check at a business on Fanning Road. Police told the caller the business was in the Alaska State Troopers service area. Police notified troopers.

A woman at 12:08 p.m. reported she gave her food card to another person to buy groceries and the person had not returned.

A woman at 2:33 p.m. said her boyfriend advised her to harm herself. She said did not need an officer but wanted to log the incident.

A woman at 9:21 p.m. reported her car was stolen from a bar parking lot on Pioneer Avenue. Police issued a "be on the look out" notice. Alaska State Troopers recovered the car in Anchor Point after seeing it in the ditch off of the North Fork Road. Troopers arrested a 54-year-old man for first-degree vehicle theft.

Feb. 13

Police at 8:30 a.m. participated in an "active shooter" exercise at Homer High School.

A caller at 10:30 a.m. reported a possible stalking protective order violation.

A police officer at 12:30 p.m. provided self-defense training at the high school.

Police at 1:20 p.m. provided transport for a Seldovia police officer and a prisoner.

A woman at 2:05 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on her daughter.

A man at 3:32 p.m. reported he tracked a lost iPhone to a location in or near the Homer Public Library.

Two men at 6 p.m. reported they had items stolen from their Fairview Avenue apartment.

Feb. 14

A woman at 8:16 a.m. reported receiving anonymous threats in email.

A person at 2:50 p.m. presented to police bad checks received at a local business.

A woman at 3:12 p.m. made a 911 call of a leaking fire hydrant on Soundview Avenue.

A woman at 4:51 p.m. reported a hit-and-run crash at a Pioneer Avenue parking lot.

Police at 7:12 p.m. assisted a person in removing property from a Bartlett Street residence.

Feb. 15

A woman reported a dispute over an animal at a Lake Street address. Police advised options. The animal was returned to the owner.

A caller at 7:34 a.m. reported equipment stolen from a Sterling Highway address.

A caller at 4:08 p.m. called to report she wanted to harm herself. Police responded and took a 54-year-old woman to South Peninsula Hospital and then to the Homer Jail for protective custody.

A woman at 11:13 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Main Street home. Police responded and determined the dispute involved civil issues. The parties were separated for the night.

A caller at 10:27 p.m. reported possible underage drinking and cars blocking a driveway at an Aspen Lane address. Police responded and released juveniles to responsible parties.
