Special series of lessons planned at church of Christ

The East Homer church of Christ will have a gospel meeting Feb. 20-23 with Bryan Hodge of the South Anchorage church of Christ. Hodge will teach on the following topics: "Excuses" at the 10 a.m. Sunday class; "No Compromise" during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship; "The Journey," part one, at the 6 p.m. Sunday evening worship; "The Journey," part two, at 7 p.m. Monday; "The Journey," part three, at 7 p.m. Tuesday; and "The Rock" at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

In conjunction with this series of lessons, there will be a potluck fellowship meal after the Sunday morning worship service. Following the evening lessons, refreshments will be served.

Hodge is a 1993 graduate of the Brown Trail School of Preaching in Bedford, Texas. He has been preaching for 19 years, mostly in east Texas. He came to Alaska to work with the South Anchorage church of Christ in March 2009. He has done mission work in England, Ghana, India, Jamaica and Panama and has been involved in jail ministry. His passion is personal evangelism.

He and his wife of 22 years, Melinda, have three children.
