Troopers at 10:54 p.m. went to a car crash near Mile 56.5 Sterling Highway in Cooper Landing. Troopers allege a 31-year-old Palmer man driving north in a red 2003 Mitsubishi crossed into the other lane and hit a gray 2007 Chevrolet driven by a 22-year-old Homer man. The Homer and a passenger in the Mitsubishi, a 30-year-old Wasilla woman, were taken to Central Peninsula Hospital for injuries. Both cars were totaled. Troopers cited the Palmer driver for driving left of center in a no passing zone. All people involved wore seatbelts.
