A man at 10:41 a.m. reported a dog had cornered and was harassing a moose and calf in the Kachemak Way area. The animal control officer responded but the dog had already left.

A city official at 11 a.m. reported an aggressive person at City Hall.

A man at 11:40 a.m. reported receiving harassing phone messages from another person.

A man at 1:23 p.m. reported a driver in a car backing up erratically and spinning tires at a Pioneer Avenue address.

A man at 2:50 p.m. reported the person he was a third-party custodian for had fled. Police advised the man to notify the court.

A man at 3:30 p.m. reported a possible scam on Craig's List.

Feb. 5

Police at 8:34 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone near Homer Middle School.

Two men at 10:20 a.m. reported a possible missing woman and children. The woman and children were later found OK.

A man at 11:43 a.m. reported a broken gas cover and gas siphoned from a car parked on Rangeview Avenue.

A caller at 12:17 p.m. reported a white pickup truck with garbage in it parked at a Lake Street lot attracted ravens and the garbage was strewn about the place. Police contacted the truck's owner who agreed to move it.

A 30-year-old man at 4:38 p.m. made a 911 call asking police to do a welfare check on him because he was extremely drunk. Police provided transport for the man.

Police at 6:15 p.m. took a 45-year-old man into protective custody.

A woman at 7:38 p.m. made a 911 call that two men were stumbling into the Sterling Highway. Police contacted the men and told them to stay out of the roadway.

A caller at 8:45 p.m. reported a possible internet scam in the Homer area.

A man at 11:24 p.m. reported another man broke into his Bunnell Avenue trailer. Police responded but could not find the suspect.

Feb. 6

A woman at 1:20 a.m. reported an altercation on Kramer Lane. Police responded.

Police at 7:50 a.m. provided a crash report form and case number to a person for a car-moose collision near Mile 163 Sterling Highway.

A woman at 11:15 a.m. reported someone shot out a window at her Bonanza Avenue home.

A man at 4:49 p.m. reported a possible violation of a restraining order in the Homer area.

Feb. 7

A woman at 2:57 a.m. reported a possible violation of a restraining order in the North Fork Road area. Police told the woman that she was out of the Homer Police service area and advised her to call Alaska State Troopers.

A person at 12:08 p.m. made a 911 call of a toddler in the middle of Main Street. Police responded and found the mother with the child.

Several people at 2:11 p.m. made 911 calls of a man staggering in the road on Main Street. The man was picked up by a passing vehicle.

A person at 8:52 p.m. made a 911 call that a man was sleeping in the post office. Police responded and advised the man to leave. The man left the building.

Feb. 8

A woman at 11:45 a.m. reported feeling threatened by area residents. Police advised the woman of her options.

A caller at 7:58 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and said the incident did not rise to the level of a crime. The parties were separated for the night.

Feb. 9

Police at 2:02 a.m. saw a fight in progress in the parking lot of a Pioneer Avenue bar. Other officers responded. Police arrested a 27-year-old man on two counts of assaulting a police officer, two counts harassment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, trespassing, two counts criminal mischief and being drunk at a licensed premise.

A man and woman at 12:45 p.m. reported someone followed them a few days ago. The man said he was worried it might be the ex-boyfriend of his girlfriend. Police told the couple to call if they saw the suspicious vehicle again.

A caller at 5:07 p.m. reported a person trespassing at a Bunnell Avenue address. Police arrested a 54-year-old man for trespassing.

A person at 9:29 p.m. made a 911 call that two men wearing dark clothing walked in the middle of East End Road, causing a hazard. Police contacted one man.

Feb. 10

A man at 3:34 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle idling with its lights off at the end of Aspen Lane. Police contacted the car. All was OK.

Police at 6:45 a.m. arrested a 19-year-old man on an outstanding warrant.

A man and woman at 12:37 p.m. reported an iPhone was stolen from a local store. The couple said they had tracked the phone's location using a GPS tracker and found the phone outside city limits. Police advised the couple to call Alaska State Troopers.
