There will be an informational meeting about KBC's nursing program at noon-1 p.m. on March 2. A creative writing workshop, "Personal Stakes and Wider Concerns: Upping the Emotional Ante," with Alaska State writer laureate Peggy Shumaker will be held March 3-6. Participants of all levels will practice several stages of the writing process. Advance registration is required. Shumaker will give a public reading at 7 p.m. on March 4.
