Let it snow, let it snow. Three full days of snow and now traveling to work, my wipers are trying to erase the tracks of rain falling on my windshield. Last weekend was a great time to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Speaking of weekends we have a fun weekend heading our way. Anchor Point's Snow Rondi family weekend fun is scheduled for Feb. 24-27. Activities will include snowshoe softball, a parade, pool tournament, bazaar, costume ball, Nordic and snowmachine events, an auction and bingo. The fun-packed weekend is sponsored by the Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce with the assistance of many organizations and individuals. Don't forget Valentine's Day is Monday. Anchor Point Senior Center Tonight's dinner will be a hot roast beef sandwich. The community breakfast will be from 9-11 a.m. Feb. 20. Bingo starts at 7 p.m. every Friday. Chapman School Chapman staff is holding a fundraiser for Carolyn Roderick from 6-8 p.m. Feb 18. Spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert will be served. There will be a silent auction; anyone would like to donate for the auction is asked to contact Chris Crum or Debbie Poindexter at the school, 235-8671. Eight Mile Band will perform. Carolyn needs support as she is battling brain cancer. VFW Post 10221 Friday nights is Burger and Brew from 5-7 p.m. Monday night is taco night from 5-7 p.m. The post's next steak night is from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 19, with karaoke at 9 p.m. Members and guests are welcome.
