The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies is running a snowshoe rental program. This program is free to members, or rent five and get the sixth rental free for all others. For information, call 235-6667.

Ukulele musicians of all abilities are invited to join other ukulele musicians for an hour of sharing music at Friendship Terrace, 250 Herndon Drive, at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

The Ninilchik community is preparing a spaghetti-feed to help raise funds for the Clucas family, who recently lost all of their belongings in a house fire. It will be Feb. 18 at the Ninilchik Senior Center. The meal will begin at 5 p.m. Donations also can be sent to Wells Fargo Bank account No. 7861883176. The Clucas family have been neighbors in Ninilchik for many years. Jessies grandfather homesteaded in the area. Any donation would be appreciated.

Deadlines to apply for the disabled veteran and senior citizen exemptions for Kenai Peninsula Borough homeowners are Feb. 15. All exemption forms can be found online at www.borough.kenai.ak.us or at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Homer Annex located at 106 E. Pioneer Ave., Suite 1. The Homer Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the NERRS building to discuss proposals to submit to the Board of Fisheries and/or Board of Game and any other business that may properly come before the committee.
