Jan. 25

A man at noon turned in a purse he found near Mile 6 East End Road. Police contacted the owner.

Police at 6:31 p.m. provided security at the Homer City Council meeting at city hall.

A woman at 6:19 p.m. reported a suspicious man knocked on her friend's door.

Jan. 27

A man at 12:07 a.m. made a 911 call saying he couldn't get his dog back from his ex-girlfriend.

Police at 8:38 a.m. issued a summons against a 23-year-old woman for failure to provide proof of insurance.

A man at 10:24 a.m. reported his wallet with credit card was stolen the night before.

A woman at 5:15 p.m. reported people trespassing on a Kachemak Drive vacant lot.

Jan. 28

A man at 10 a.m. reported someone turned off a fuel valve at a Mattox Street apartment complex.

A woman at 11:15 a.m. reported seeing a wanted person. Police could not find the suspect.

An officer from Anchorage Adult Probation at 2:23 p.m. asked police to locate a 49-year-woman who had an outstanding warrant. Police found the woman at a Pioneer Avenue address and took her into custody from.

A man at 3:30 p.m. reported a bicycle that had been stolen last summer.

A man at 5:07 p.m. reported a person driving a vehicle on wetlands.

Jan. 29

A caller at 1:20 a.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Rochelle Road home. Police issued a summons for minor consuming alcohol to an 18-year-old woman.

A woman at 3:45 p.m. reported her son and girlfriend have been living a transient life between Alaska and Indiana and were using drugs and writing bad checks.

Jan. 30

A caller at 2:13 a.m. reported an altercation in the parking lot of a bar on East End Road. Police separated the parties. No one was injured.

A harbor officer at 7:02 a.m. reported someone camping under the Pioneer Dock. Police contacted the suspect and determined the person was waiting for the ferry. Police advised the person to wait inside the terminal.

A woman at 2:52 p.m. made a 911 call and then hung up. Police called the person back and determined she was checking her voice mail on her iPhone.

A harbor officer at 3:19 p.m. reported a drunk woman fell into the harbor. Police assisted EMTs in getting the woman out of the harbor. She refused treatment and was taken someplace to get warm.

A woman at 4:43 p.m. reported a vicious dog was in the back of a pickup truck near her car parked at a Sterling Highway lot and she was afraid to get back into her car. Police contacted the owner.

Jan. 31

A man at 8:07 p.m. made a 911 "report every dangerous driver immediately" call of a driver near Mile 170 Sterling Highway.

A man at 8:29 p.m. reported a dog hit and killed on the highway near Mile 170 Sterling Highway. The man pulled the dog to the side of the road.

A woman at 8:57 p.m. made a 911 call of an animal hit on the road near Clover Lane and East End Road.

Feb. 1

A man at 1 p.m. reported a stolen vehicle. Police determined the issue was a civil matter regarding ownership of the vehicle.

A man at 8:24 p.m. made a 911 call reporting his girlfriend had left their Pioneer Avenue hotel with his cell phone and had not returned. Police determined woman, age 49, had been taken to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai.

A man at 11:52 p.m. reported his ex-girlfriend has a restraining order against him but that she continues to call him on his cell phone.
