Activities include snowshoe softball, a parade on Feb. 27, a pool tournament, Nordic and snowmachine events, auction, a pinewood derby and bingo. Snow Rondi is sponsored by the Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce with the assistance of many organizations and individuals. Schedules will be at local businesses soon.
On Feb. 13 there will be a benefit for Fred and Becky Hackney. Becky is fighting cancer. The benefit will be at the VFW Post 10221 on Milo Fritz Road. A spaghetti dinner starts at 4 p.m. with an auction at 6 p.m. If anyone would like to donate an auction item, please call Bobby Ness at 299-4071.
Anchor Point Senior Center
Tonight's dinner will be fried shrimp. The salad bar opens at 5:30 p.m., and dinner is served at 6 p.m. Bingo is at 7 p.m. Friday. The community breakfast will be from 9 a.m.-noon Feb. 27 and Feb. 28.
VFW Post 10221
Steak Night is from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Karaoke with Tom begins at 9 p.m. The post will have a Super Bowl Party with food and prizes. Taco night is on Mondays and Burger and Brew is on Fridays from 5-7:30 p.m.
February brings Snow Rondi to Anchor Point. It's a great time for everyone to get out and enjoy all kinds of winter fun. The theme this year is "2010 Let's Rondi Again." Events are Feb. 25-28.
