Homer resident John Basil Hannan has achieved the WSU Presidents Honor Roll during the 2011 Fall Semester at Washington State University in Pullman. The Presidents Honor Roll recognizes students who stand above the rest with excellent academic performance. To be eligible for the honor roll, undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of nine graded hours in a single term at WSU and earn a grade point average of 3.75 or earn a 3.50 cumulative GPA based on 15 cumulative hours of graded work.

Montana State University has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for fall semester 2011. The Deans Honor Roll includes the 2,395 students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester with a minimum of 12 credit hours. William Anderson and Rhoslyn Jennings of Homer and Samuel Bennett of Ninilchik were all members of the Montana State University 2011 fall semester Deans Honor Roll list.
