Homer Alaska - Schools

Facing 15 schools and 125 individuals in Anchorage last weekend, Homer High School's Drama Debate and Forensics team won the following:

• Adella Sundmark and Casey Parrett: semi-finalists, public forum debate;

• Trevor Waldorf and Johnny Hamilton: quarter-finalists, public forum debate;

• Jacob Mayforth: first place, original oratory;

• Adella Sundmark: third place, original oratory;

• Johnny Hamilton: third place, humorous interpretation;

• Casey Parrett: second place; dramatic interpretation;

• Adella Sundmark and Theo Noomah: fourth place, pantomime;

• Jacob Mayforth and Herman Hannan: first place, duet acting;

• Adi Davis and Sydney Paulino: fourth place, duet acting;

• Jonas Noomah: third place, solo acting.

"We've had the most successful year ever," said Amy Christianson, head coach. DDF events remain: Service High School in Anchorage, Feb. 10-11; State DDF Tournament at East High School and the University of Alaska Anchorage, Feb. 16-18.
