Bernard Buck Timothy Hagala

Bernard Buck Timothy Hagala

May 3, 1968-Jan. 17, 2012

Longtime Homer resident Buck Hagala passed away suddenly on Jan. 17, 2012, in Cordova, where he was currently residing while commercial fishing.

He spent most of his adult years commercial fishing and the sea had become his life. Buck also had a great love for the outdoors, where he spent countless hours with family and friends snowmobiling, camping, four wheeling, fishing and hunting.

His smile, boisterous laugh and great zest for life will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Buck is survived by his son, Dakota J Hagala of Gloucester, Mass.; stepson, Dale Cowan of Homer; his mother, Adeliade (Addie) P. Hagala and stepfather, Robert L. Robinson of Homer; two sisters, Kathleen M. Hagala of Seattle and Lori A. Lockyer of Homer; two nephews, Tyler C. Post and Riley J. Post of Homer; and a niece, Tianna K. Post of Homer.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph (Joe) R. Hagala; his father, John J. Hagala, and his uncle, Ron D. Robinson.

A memorial fund has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank Homer in the name of Buck Benard Timothy Hagala.
