Jan. 16

Alaska State Troopers at 3:19 p.m. received a report that someone stole guns, electronic equipment and personal property worth more than $4,000 from an Anchor Point home. A suspect from Homer has been identified and the investigation continues.

Troopers at 2:11 p.m. went to a report of a car rollover near Mile 168 Sterling Highway near Homer. Troopers allege a 24-year-old Anchor Point woman driving in a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer lost control and went into the southbound ditch, causing the car to rollover. The woman was not injured and said she wore her seat belt.

Jan. 18

Troopers at 2:51 p.m. went to a collision between a pickup truck and a school bus on East End Road near Lusky Road. Troopers allege a 62-year-old Homer man driving a 1994 Toyota pickup truck hit a school bus driven by a 39-year-old Anchor Point man. Nobody was injured and all involved wore seat belts.

Troopers at 10:20 a.m. went to a car crash near Mile 122.2 Sterling Highway near Ninilchk. Troopers allege a 78-year-old Anchor Point man driving north lost control on the icy road, crossed the centerline and went into the southbound ditch. All involved wore seat belts and nobody was injured.

Troopers at 11:52 a.m. went to a reported burglary at the Fritz Creek General Store. Troopers investigated and determined sometime between 10 p.m. on Jan. 13 and 4 a.m. on Jan. 14 someone entered the store and took alcohol and cigarettes worth more than $500.
