The Cabin Fever Variety Show is 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Chapman School gym. This event is a fundraiser for the Anchor Point Public Library. The cost is $15 for a family, $7 for a single person, students under 18 and seniors from 55 years are $5 and children up to 5 years old are free. A silent auction for dessert, artwork and gift certificates is included.
The Homer Soil and Water Conservation District holds a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Kachemak Bay College, Pioneer Hall Room 201, for organizations interested in participating in the People's Garden Grant Program. Presentations will include background information about the goals of this program, micro-grant eligibility and timelines. Micro-grants will be awarded for up to $5,000 per project. The goal of this program is to create locally supported, self-sufficient People's Gardens that both improve community access to healthy foods and serve as science-based educational sites.
