Troopers at 2:43 p.m. went to a single-car rollover at Mile 161 Sterling Highway. Troopers said a 23-year-old Homer man driving south lost control of his 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck, crossed into the northbound lane and went into the ditch, where the truck rolled onto its roof. The man wore his seat belt and reported no injuries.

At 3:30 p.m. while troopers investigated that crash, a 64-year-old Homer man driving north in a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck stopped at the crash scene to let southbound traffic go by. A 21-year-old Homer man driving behind the truck in a Dodge sedan was unable to stop and rear ended the pickup. All involved wore seat belts. Anchor Point EMTs took a passenger in the pickup truck to South Peninsula Hospital.
