Troopers
Alaska State Troopers at 4:19 p.m. went to a car crash near Mile 4 East End Road. Troopers reported a 70-year-old Homer woman driving east in a 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck lost control of her truck and went into the other lane, hitting a 2002 GMC Envoy driving by a 64-year-old Homer man. Both drivers wore seat belts and were uninjured. The collision caused $1,500 in damage to the Toyota and $5,000 to the GMC. The woman was issued a citation for failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision.
