A person at 11:06 a.m. reported a drunk person was at a Hazel Avenue address. Police responded and escorted the person away without incident.

Several people at 10:12 p.m. made 911 calls reporting flares seen near Bishop's Beach. Police responded and also notified a harbor officer.

Jan. 1

A caller at 12:10 a.m. reported possible gunfire at a Fairview Avenue apartment complex. Police responded but couldn't find anything.

A caller at 2:33 a.m. reported a possible dead person at a Spit Road address. Police responded and determined the call was unfounded.

A South Peninsula Hospital employee at 4:08 a.m. reported an assault. Police responded.

A man at 11:48 a.m. reported a theft from a Fairview Avenue apartment complex.

A person at 11:54 a.m. made a 911 call of a domestic dispute in progress at a Landings Street address. Police responded and separated the parties.

A man at 6:20 p.m. reported a woman followed him on Ben Walters Lane. Police advised the man of his options.

Police at 9:10 a.m. served a stalking protective order on a person at an East End Road address.

A man at 9:48 a.m. reported items missing from his Mountain View Drive home.

A caller at 5:32 p.m. reported a man looking through the windows of a Bartlett Drive medical facility. Police responded and found the man at South Peninsula Hospital getting medical attention.

A man at 3:39 p.m. reported a large and dangerous pothole on Lake Street. Police advised the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

Jan. 3

A man at 2:15 a.m. asked for assistance with retrieving his daughter from his girlfriend.

Several callers at 6:20 a.m. reported power out in the Mountainview area while other callers reported seeing a power line arcing in the Rogers Loop area. Homer Electric Association was aware of the problem.

An employee at 8:17 a.m. reported receiving a disturbing voice mail message at a Pioneer Avenue business.

A caller at 12:51 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man sitting on the side of East End Road with two dogs.

Police at 1:50 p.m. helped Alaska State Troopers with a car search at a Crittenden Street address.

A woman at 1:38 p.m. reported a wounded dog at the West Homer Elementary School parking lot. The animal control officer responded.

A person at 8:53 p.m. made a 911 call with a "report every dangerous driver immediately" complaint. Police stopped a 47-year-old an on Pioneer Avenue and issued him a summons for driving while license revoked.

A man at 12:50 p.m. reported the theft of prescription drugs.

A woman at 7:45 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a juvenile at a Landings Street address. Police responded and all was OK.

A man at 8:06 p.m. reported hearing gun shots in the East Hill Road area.

A caller at 8:11 p.m. reported hearing a woman screaming and possible gunshots in the Herndon Drive area. Police responded but didn't find anything suspicious.

A caller at 11:59 p.m. reported hearing loud noises at a Main Street apartment. Police responded and found all was OK.

Jan. 5

Multiple callers at 12:45 a.m. asked police for information regarding a tsunami advisory.

A man at 12:48 p.m. asked for police assistance with a motor home parked at a Fairview Avenue apartment complex and plugged into an outlet.

A woman at 1:36 p.m. reported a driver ran a stop sign on Ben Walters Lane.

A person at 1:50 p.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at a Noview Avenue home. Police responded and said the incident did not rise to the level of a crime.

Police at 2:18 p.m. contacted a 66-year-old man driving on Noview Avenue and arrested him for driving under the influence.

A man at 3:05 p.m. reported the door had been pried open at his Latham Street home.

A caller at 5:39 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Pioneer Avenue business. Police responded and arrested a 51-year-old man for assault and trespassing.

A man at 5:30 p.m. reported ATM fraud.

A caller at 9:47 p.m. reported hearing a car alarm and suspicious noises at a Svedlund Street address. Police responded. All was OK.

Jan. 6

Police at 3:15 a.m. assisted EMTs with a medical call at a Pioneer Avenue bar. Police took an intoxicated 30-year-old woman into protective custody and issued a summons to a bartender, a 41-year-old woman, for a liquor law violation.

A caller at 4:38 a.m. reported a drunk and disorderly man refused to leave a Sterling Highway business. Police responded and arrested a 32-year-old man for disorderly conduct and trespassing.

A caller at 10:24 a.m. reported an expected death of a 58-year-old woman at her Mountainview Avenue home.

Troopers at 5:33 p.m. asked for police assistance with a traffic stop on the Sterling Highway. Police responded.

A man at 10:06 p.m. made a 911 call of a man walking down the middle of Ocean Drive and refused to yield when the driver honked his horn. Police responded and contacted a 35-year-old man. All was OK.

Jan. 7

Police at 7:34 a.m. received a report that a driver almost hit a bicyclist with no lights or reflective material on East End Road.

A young boy at 4:45 p.m. made a 911 call that he was alone in a car on Heath Street. Police checked on the boy and made sure he was OK.
