South Peninsula Hospital




South Peninsula Hospital offers a free introductory program on asthma and allergy management for parents of children ages 12 and under with asthma. The class includes information on controlling asthma triggers, defining asthma, handling emergencies, using the right tools and communication. Participants will receive handbooks and workbooks. The class is taught by Devry Garity, pediatric nurse practitioner, who specializes in asthma and allergies.

The two-hour class is offered twice on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and again at 5:30 p.m., at the hospital's training center. Assistance with childcare is available upon request. Registration for the class is required.
