Artists hold residencies

Bunnell Street Arts Center continues its Artist in Residence program with two artists visiting this winter. In January, Alaska artist Sandy Gillespie works in Bunnell's main gallery space and does workshops for youth and adults. Gillespie works in paper, found objects, text, paint and encaustics.

In March, and supported by USA Artists, graphic novelist Jim Woodring returns, once again turning the gallery into an open artist's studio. The author of the Frank comics, Woodring also offers workshops.

Next summer, Bunnell presents a summer residency program in collaboration with the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, using CACS facilities at Petersen Bay and the Carl Wynn Nature Center. Interested artists can email asia@bunnellstreetgallery.org.
