Kenai Peninsula Borough SChool District

NOTE: In the event of two-hour school delays or closures, official announcements will be made on the website, the KPBSD Facebook and Twitter feeds, and shared through your local radio and television stations. Schools with Alert Now systems will notify families directly.  

Nov. 8: Budget Development Committee meets, interested community members invited to participate, Borough Assembly Chambers in Soldotna, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Nov. 12: School board meeting, 7-9 p.m., Soldotna.

Chapman School

Through Nov. 2: Parent-teacher conferences; no classes.

Nov. 3: Senior Citizen Holiday Craft Bazaar in gym, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Nov. 7: Basketball at Ninilchik, 4 p.m.

Nov. 8: Basketball vs. Cook Inlet Academy at Chapman, 4 p.m.

Elementary School

Nov. 4: “The Orchestra Sings,” Mariner Theatre. All students need a white top and black pants or skirt. Girls who wear a skirt should not wear white leggings as this affects stage lighting at the Mariner Theater. If you don’t have a white dress shirt, a plain white t-shirt is OK (no design on it).

Nikolaevsk School

Nov. 7: Vision-hearing-developmental screenings for infants, toddlers and preschoolers; make apointments by calling 235-8419; screenings are provided by KPBSD, Sprout and Homer Public Health.

Ninilchik School

Through Nov. 2: Parent-teacher conferences.

Nov. 6: Volleyball at Nikolaevsk, 4:30 p.m.

Nov. 7: Vision-hearing-developmental screenings for infants, toddlers and preschoolers; Ninilchik Clinic; make apointments by calling (907) 567-3970. Screenings are provided by KPBSD, Spourt and Homer Public Health.

Nov. 7: Middle school basketball vs. Chapman, 4 p.m.

Nov. 9: Career fair, Kenail Peninsula College.

Nov. 9-10: Volleyball vs. Dutch Harbor, leave Friday, come home Sunday.

Paul Banks Elementary School
