Synhorst Richard Dale Synhorst, 57, loving husband, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Palm Sunday, March 16, 2008, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, following a 14-month courageous battle with leukemia. A memorial service was at 4 p.m. Monday, March 31, at the Community Christian Church.

Arnold Robert Rodgers Sr.
Arnold Robert Rodgers Sr., 90, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 27, 2008, after a long battle with heart disease in Petaluma, Calif. Rodgers was a World War II veteran of the Aleutian campaign. He married a long-time Homer resident, the former Ursula Rearden, in 1966, and was a frequent visitor to Homer to see his step-children and their children.
Carol Ann Fox Longtime Alaskan and Kenai resident Carol Ann (Schuttke) Fox, 66, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Heritage Place in Soldotna. Memorial services are at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai. Chaplain Craig Fanning will officiate at the service. A celebration of her life will follow the service at the Kenai Family Moose Center, 12516 Kenai Spur Hwy. Her cremated remains will be scattered over Cook Inlet at a later date.
