Along with their families, Lisa Rule and Eric Peterson announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. 

Lisa is the daughter of Janet Rule of West Nanticoke, Pa., and Stephen and Terri Rule of Harvey’s Lake, Pa. The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Bishop O’Reilly High School. She received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Scranton in 2003. She also is a 2006 graduate of Boston College, where she received her master’s degree in educational and developmental psychology. She is currently employed as a teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools in Bethesda, Md. 

Eric is the son of Richard and Rebecca Peterson of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Mike Scruggs and the late Mary Ann Scruggs of Homer. He is a 2000 graduate of Homer High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he received a bachelor of science degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics. He is currently employed as a network security analyst for Secure Mission Solutions in Adelphi, Md. The wedding will take place in April at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek in Boyds, Md. The couple resides in Silver Spring, Md.
