Pet of the Week

Posted: November 21, 2012 - 11:22am

“All who wander are not lost...” Strider is one amazing cat.  This classic male tabby somehow found his way into an abandoned house this winter, and then couldn’t get out.  A good Samaritan heard his cries, scratching at the window, and alerted the Animal Shelter.  A team effort succeeded in freeing this gentle boy. Strider has been eating like a horse,  and soaking up love and warmth now for a couple of weeks at the shelter, and is ready for his very own indoor, thank-you-very-much, home.

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the city’s Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call 235-3141.
