No services will be held per Charles’ wishes. Chuck’s ashes will be spread in Kachemak Bay later this summer with his family.

Arnold O. Beymer Sr., 72, of Kasilof died on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna.

He was born to Howard and Eula Beymer in Ketchikan on March 25, 1943.

Per Arnold’s wishes private, family services will be held at a later date.

Services were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.

Harold was born on Sunday, Dec. 8, 1918, in Lone Pine, Calif., to Sabastian Sudlow and Margaret Lillian (Banta) Gnad.

Dora Mae “Dode” Wagner, 102, of Maryville, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Parkdale Manor Care Center, Maryville.

Dode was born Oct. 18, 1913, in Gallatin, Mo., to George Mathew and Lucy Luella Knapp Lee. 

A 1931 graduate of Gallatin, Mo., High School, she also attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, Maryville. She and Robert Woodrow Wagner were married June 9, 1935, in Osceloa, Mo.

He is survived by his brother, Don, and niece, Amy, and many cousins and friends.

He lived in Anchor Point since 1979 with a few sojourns to Fairbanks, Wasilla and Talkeetna.

Renowned Alaska writer and marine biologist, Eva Lucia Saulitis, 52, died Jan. 16, 2016. “She was carried into her beloved eternal wilderness on the spirited wings of dear friend and mentor Celia Hunter’s dogsled, in the early afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, from her home in Homer, Alaska,” her family said.

Rev. Harris was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Falls Church, Va. He was the middle child of five sons born to Charles and Margaret Harris.

Former Homer resident Arvell Dinwiddie, 90, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, in Clearwater, Kan. He was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Mullenville, Kan. He was a retired carpenter. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lianne “Lee” (Garrett) Dinwiddie; his, son, Charles; brothers, Melvin and Blain; and granddaughter, Katherine “Kat” Dinwiddie.

Joseph was born Dec. 8. 1930, to Floyd and Ellen Smith in Kanakanak, Bristol Bay, Alaska.
