Cooper Landing resident, Charles Anthony “Chuck” Voss, 36, died, June 22, 2014, in a boating accident in the Ushagak River near Pilot Point, Alaska.

“Chuck was a warm and kind-hearted gentle giant of a man with a boisterous and infectious laugh who would always go out of his way to help anyone in need. He was loved by many from Oregon to Alaska and will be sorely missed,” wrote his family.

Chuck was preceded in death by the Voss and Hardy grandparents and his mother, Susie Voss. Chuck’s father, Charles Voss Jr., died a week after him.
