Frank H. Gardner Jr., 76, died Feb. 8, 2013, in Uganda. A memorial service is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Glacierview Baptist Church.
He was born Sept. 25, 1936, to Frank and Beatrice Gardner in Virginia. He was married to Adelaide Adella for almost 53 years until her passing in 2010 in Homer.
Frank gave his life entirely to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 10, and has been in the business of people ever since. Frank lived in Homer with his son Dan but spent months each year in Uganda with his daughter Rebecca and her husband John training men for ministry. “If you encountered Frank, you were touched by him,” his family said. “Frank died while serving his Lord in Uganda. He ran and finished his race well.”
Frank is survived by his five children, Frank and wife Shelly, Dave and wife Jaimie, Dan and wife Debbie, Joan and husband John, and Rebecca and husband John, along with 18 grandchildren.
