April 24

Alaska State Troopers at 11:10 p.m. made a traffic stop on the driver of a 2001 Toyota Corolla on Kingsley Road in Ninil- chik. Troopers said the driver, a 31-year-old Ninilchik man, drove under the influence and they arrested him for driving under the influence.

April 25

Troopers at 3:19 p.m. located a suspi- cious vehicle on Lyric Circle in Anchor Point after receiving a tip that the occupants used narcotics. Troopers identified the driver as a 20-year-old Homer man and his passenger as 32-year-old Homer man. Troopers said the passenger was on conditions of release from a prior felony arrest and had a hand- gun. A records check showed the 32-year- old passenger is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a concealable handgun. Troopers arrested the passenger

for violating conditions of release and third- degree weapons misconduct. Troopers said the driver, the 20-year-old man, possessed heroin on his person and in plain view. The driver also was the court appointed guard- ian for the passenger. Troopers arrested the 20-year-old man for violating third-party custodian duties and for four-degree mis- conduct involving a controlled substance, heroin. 

April 26

Troopers at 8:05 p.m. made a traffic stop on the driver of a blue 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier near Mile 142 Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers said they saw a per- son trying to crawl into the trunk with only legs visible. Troopers later identified the person as a 27-year-old Anchorage woman, but alleged she tried to conceal her identity by giving a false name and identification card. Troopers found the woman had an ac- tive warrant for her arrest on a theft charge. Troopers arrested her on the warrant and a charge of providing false information.

April 29

Troopers at 8:10 p.m. received a “re- port every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person in a blue 1991 Subaru Loyale near Mile152 Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers stopped the suspect vehicle and arrested a 47-year-old Niko- laevsk man for driving under the influence and driving while license revoked.

April 30

Troopers while on patrol in Nikolaevsk saw a man known to them from prior con- tacts driving a white Dodge van with a taxi cab light on top. Troopers said a records check showed the man had a revoked driver’s license. The van stopped, and when troop- ers tried to contact the man he left his car and ran into the woods. Troopers obtained a warrant for the man’s arrest.

May 3

Troopers while on patrol in Anchor Point say a red, Ford pickup being driven by a person they recognized from prior con- tacts as a 46-year-old man of Anchor Point. A records check showed the man had a re- voked driver’s license and limitations on his license that required him to have an ignition interlock device. Troopers arrested the man for driving while license revoked and driv- ing in violation of limitations for not having an ignition interlock device.
