Nov. 13

A caller at 9:15 a.m. reported a civil issue regarding child custody. The person later came by the police station at 1 p.m. and asked officers to do a welfare check on another person. Police did the check and found all was OK.

A caller at 12:21 p.m. reporting losing a wallet.

Police at 3:37 p.m. assisted EMTs on a medical call at a Fairview Avenue address.

A caller at 4:36 p.m. reported a hit-and-run crash.

An Alaska State Trooper dispatcher at 5:29 p.m. forwarded a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. Troopers stopped the suspect car on the Sterling Highway near Diamond Ridge Road.

A caller at 7:53 p.m. reported a stolen wallet. Police responded.

A man at 8:50 p.m. came by the police station to reported a civil issue. An officer provided him with options.

A man at 9:35 p.m. made a 911 call of being cold and in distress and wanting a blanket at a Ben Walters Lane address. Police responded and did a welfare check. Police found the man to be inside a warm place and with transportation to a home available. All was OK.

A caller at 10:08 p.m. reported a possible disturbance at a West Hill Road home. Police responded.

A caller at 10:20 p.m. reported a car causing a traffic hazard near Mile 2 Homer Spit Road. Police responded and towed the car. At 1:49 a.m. Nov. 14 a drunk woman made a 911 call saying her car was missing. Police responded and told the woman her car had been towed earlier because it was a hazard.

Police at 11:50 p.m. contacted a driver on East End Road and issued a warning for driving under the influence.

Nov. 14

A person at 4:22 a.m. made a 911 call reporting an assault at a Linda Court address. Police contacted the victim and determined no assault happened. Police gave the caller a ride to a medical facility.

A caller at 11:59 a.m. reported an unrestrained dog bit a woman while she was walking on Lakeshore Drive. The animal control officer and a police officer were advised.

A caller at 3:33 p.m. reported a leaking fire hydrant at a Larkspur Court address. Police notified Public Works.

 

Nov. 15

Multiple callers at 10:20 a.m. reported an alarm at an FAA Road business. Police responded and contacted the owner. All was OK. Employees had set off the alarm.

A caller at 10:32 a.m. reported a stray cat in distress outside a Jenny Way home.

A person at 11:47 a.m. turned in property found at Bishop’s Beach. Police tried but had no success contacting the owner.

A caller at 1:02 p.m. reported receiving a scam in the mail. Police advised the caller of options.

A caller at 2:11 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police were to be on the lookout in the area but did not locate a suspect.

A caller at 2:40 p.m. reported a man inside a Pioneer Avenue business and causing a disturbance. Police responded.

Police at 2:59 p.m. did a security check of Bishop’s Beach and warned several people not to park on the storm berm.

A caller at 5:26 p.m. reported an unattended 3-year-old boy walking down East Hill Road. Police responded.

Nov. 16

A caller at 6:09 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person not appropriately dressed for the weather. Police responded.

A caller at 9:47 p.m. reported a possibly suicidal subject at a Fairview Avenue address. Police responded.

A caller at 10:02 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked for the past 15 minutes at an East End Road business. Police responded.

A caller at 10:24 p.m. reported a possible domestic dispute at a Mount Augustine Drive address. Police responded and took a man to the jail for protective custody.

Nov. 17

A person at 6:11 a.m. made a 911 call asking for police assistance in retrieving items from a Main Street home.

A person at 2:02 p.m. made a 911 call of a man walking in the middle of Ben Walters Lane. Police responded but could not find the man.

A person at 2:08 p.m. made a 911 call of a hit-and-run crash on the Spit.

A caller at 6:01 p.m. reported a man trespassing at a Spit address. Police responded.

Police at 7:38 p.m. transported a man to South Peninsula Hospital.

A caller at 8:52 p.m. made an anonymous complaint of a person driving without a license in the Homer area.

Nov. 18

Police at 9:49 a.m. assisted firefighters at a fire at a Sterling Highway address.

A caller at 1:11 p.m. reported a possible scam.

A caller at 6:34 p.m. reported finding something suspicious on the floor at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded.

Nov. 19

Police at 11:56 a.m. assisted EMTs at an Ocean Drive Loop address

A caller at 1:16 p.m. reported a phone scam.

A caller at 1:45 p.m. reported vandalism of public property at Bishop’s Beach.

A caller at 2:40 p.m. reported online harassment. Police advised the caller of options.

A caller at 8:27 p.m. reported a man in a car running for a long time while parked on Main Street. Police responded and found the car was empty. All was OK.

Nov. 20

A person at 12:28 a.m. made a 911 call asking for a welfare check on him- or herself due to suspicious circumstances. Police responded and found all was OK.

A person at 7:02 a.m. made a 911 call of an unattended campfire at a campsite on the Spit. Police responded and found all was OK.

A caller at 9:45 a.m. reported fraudulent activity.

A caller at 11:02 a.m. reported a possible scam.

A caller at 6:10 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Charles Way address. Police responded and arrested a 24-year-old man for second-degree assault.

A caller at 6:34 p.m. reported a domestic dispute in progress at an Ocean Drive Loop address. Police and EMTs responded . A woman was taken to the hospital and police arrested a 40-year-old man.

A caller at 10:44 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Janeview Drive.

A caller at 10:03 p.m. reported a verbal dispute over a civil issue at a Bartlett Street address. Police responded and found all was OK.

A caller at 10:35 p.m. asked for advice with a civil issue. Police provided advice.

Nov. 21

A caller at 12:17 a.m. reported a person sitting by the side of the road in the dark and snow near Mile 169 Sterling Highway. Police responded and found the person was OK and waiting for a ride.

Police at 3:21 a.m. contacted a 22-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway. Police arrested the man for driving under the influence, drugs and weapons misconduct.

A person at 4:15 a.m. reported wind was blowing a boat and trailer into the road on Ocean Drive. Police responded later and  could not find the boat.

A person at 6:27 a.m. made a 911 call asking for a welfare check on him- or herself. Police found the person was OK and provided transportation home.
