May 6

A caller at 11:10 a.m. reported losing a cell phone.

Police at 10:12 p.m. searched a vehicle as part of a drug investigation.

May 7

A woman at 12:39 a.m. reported being harassed.

A man at 6:35 a.m. reported finding an abandoned bicycle in the road near Poopdeck Street. Police recovered the bicycle.

A man at noon asked for police guidance in dealing with a troubled juvenile.

A woman at 12:26 p.m. reported drug information and brought in a suspicious packet found in the East End Road area.

An official from the Kenai Police Department at 12:45 p.m. reported a wanted subject was in the Homer area. Police investigated but determined the report was unfounded.

A caller at 6:10 p.m. reported a person at a Svedlund Street address had ordered a pizza to be delivered but then refused to answer the door or pay for the pizza.

A man at 6:20 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances that had happened in Texas. Police referred the person to the proper agency.

A woman at 6:30 p.m. turned in a wallet she found.

Police at 6:56 p.m. warned a driver for failure to stop for a pedestrian at a Pioneer Avenue crosswalk.

A caller at 10:50 p.m. reported a man refused to vacate a Bunnell Avenue home. Police responded and arrested a 45-year-old man for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

May 8

A caller at 2:20 a.m. reported a key to a Sterling Highway business was lost or stolen. The caller asked for extra patrols until the locks could be changed.

A woman at 7:55 a.m. reported drug information.

A caller at 9:30 a.m. reported an abandoned car on private property at a Jenny Way address.

A man at 11:15 a.m. reported a person violating conditions of release at a Miller Lane address.

A man at 11:40 a.m. reported losing a duffel bag at a Kachemak Drive address.

A caller at 12:15 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a child and guardian at a Kachemak Drive address. All was OK.

A caller at 12:20 p.m. reported losing a wallet on the Sterling Highway.

Police at 11:45 a.m. served a domestic-violence restraining order.

Police at 2:39 p.m. assisted EMTs at a Herndon Drive home for a 67-year-old man who died.

A caller at 3:13 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Ben Walters Lane business. The suspect was gone by the time police arrived.

A caller at 3:24 p.m. reported a break-in at a Ternview Place address.

A caller at 3:10 p.m. reported an expected death at home of a 92-year-old person at a Race Road address.

A caller at 3:46 p.m. reported a drunk man at Safeway. Police responded but the suspect had left. A caller at 5:32 p.m. reported the man had returned. Police arrested a 67-year-old man for fourth-degree theft and violating conditions of release for consuming alcohol.

A man at 3:54 p.m. reported an assault at a Svedlund Street address.

A caller at 6:15 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on Ocean Drive Loop. Police could not find the suspect.

A caller at 6:29 p.m. reported vehicle documents had been stolen.

A caller at 8:36 p.m. reported loose dogs terrorizing a moose and calf in the Kramer Lane area. Police responded and advised the owner of wildlife protection laws and notified animal control.

A woman at 8:50 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a drunk man on Bunnell Avenue. Police contacted the man and old him to stay away from bars and liquor stores that night.

Police at 9:05 p.m. warned a liquor clerk for serving to drunk people.

May 9

Police at 12:02 a.m. contacted a 20-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for driving without a license.

A woman at 10:57 a.m. reported suspicious activity at a youth event.

A person at 12:44 p.m. reported check fraud.

Police at 12:50 p.m. contacted a 42-year-old man on East End Road and arrested him on a warrant and possession of heroin.

A caller at 2:54 p.m. reported a theft from a Lake Street business. Police issued a summons to a 42-year-old woman for fourth-degree theft.

A caller at 5:30 p.m. reported nonpayment for services. Police advised the woman of her options.

A caller at 6:10 p.m. reported children harassing wildlife in the Hazel Avenue area. Police responded but could not locate the children.

Police at 6:43 p.m. assisted EMTs in responding to an Adams Drive home for a 24-year-old man. A caller at 7:19 p.m. reported a loose dog who belonged to the man who was taken to South Peninsula Hospital. The animal control officer secured and boarded the dog.

A man at 7:51 p.m. reported three people damaged his car on East End Road and then drove away.

May 10

Police at 1:02 a.m. contacted several people in a car stopped on the Sterling Highway. Police contacted the parent of one person.

An off-duty Homer Police officer at 1:45 a.m. contacted people involved in a moose-car collision near Mile 352 Richardson Highway. North Pole Police arrested a man for driving under the influence.

Police at 3:31 a.m. contacted people in a car on East End Road. A probation officer asked police to do a urinalysis on one person. Police cited a second person and seized  drug paraphernalia. 

A man at 9:30 a.m. reported missing duffle bags.

Several people at 7:02 a.m. made 911 calls of a dangerous driver on the Spit. Police contacted the suspect, a 31-year-old man, and arrested him for DUI.

A man a 7:01 p.m. reported a possible stolen car on the Spit.

A person at 8:06 p.m. reported a stolen wallet. Police contacted the owner.

A caller at 9:33 p.m. reported drivers speeding up and down Bishop’s Beach and almost hitting people. Police contacted several drivers and they agreed to drive responsibly.

A woman at 9:45 p.m. made a 911 call that she broke up an underage party on Paintbrush Street. Police responded and issued a 1-year trespass notice to a man from the home.

A woman at 11:12 p.m. reported a loud party with a person on the roof of a Hohe Street home.

May 11

A man at 1:14 a.m. made a 911 call of a drunk person unwilling to leave a Linda Court home. Police responded but could not find the suspect. A caller at 2:04 a.m. reported a drunk roommate tried to get into a Klondike Avenue home. Police responded and the caller agreed to take the man to a hotel for the night.

A caller at 9:20 a.m. reported a domestic disturbance at a Mount Augustine Drive home. Police responded and arrested a 49-year-old man for a probation violation.

A man at 10 a.m. reported his significant other did not return home. Police contacted the missing woman and determined she was OK.

A man at 11 a.m. reported receiving harassing phone calls at his Spit Road work place. Police contacted the suspect and advised the person to stop calling the man.

A woman at 12:15 p.m. reported hearing gunfire in the Rogers Loop area.

Police at 7:18 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers in responding to an incident on the Sterling Highway. Police arrested a 64-year-old man for third-degree assault.

Police at 11:32 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 20-year-old man on East End Road. Police arrested the man for DUI and minor consuming alcohol.

May 12

A person at 6:45 a.m. made a 911 call of person possibly in distress on the Sterling Highway in a car. Police contacted the person and determined the car had run out of gas.
