April 2

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 48-year-old Homer man for failure to record a king salmon after landing it. Troopers contacted him at the Homer Harbor.

April 6

Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 10:31 p.m. went to a report of a theft from an Anchor Point church. Two purses with electronics and money were reported stolen from women at the church. Troopers contacted a 51-year-old Anchorage man in the area and said their investigation showed the man had unlawfully entered the building and stolen the items. Several items were recovered from the man. Troopers arrested him for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

April 8

Alaska State Troopers at 10:23 a.m. arrested a 19-year-old Happy Valley man at his home on a warrant for his arrest and extradition to Pennsylvania. 

Highway Patrol Troopers at 11:18 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 40-year-old Uniontown, Ark., man driving a 2013 Honda Civic near Mile 143 Sterling Highway near Ninilchik. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.

April 10

Troopers at 8:07 p.m. received a report of the death of a 46-year-old Nanwalek man at his home. No foul play was suspected. A state medical examiner will do an autopsy.

April 15

Troopers at 8:08 a.m. went to reported burglary at the Anchor Point VFW. An an undisclosed amount of currency was taken and $800 in damage caused. The incident is under investigation.
