Homer Police Reports

March 22

Police at 1:04 a.m. contacted a person driving on the Sterling Highway and warned the person for violating provisional restrictions on an operator’s license.

A caller at 2:43 a.m. reported a disturbance at a Fairview Avenue address. Police responded and arrested an 18-year-old man for criminal mischief, domestic violence.

March 23

A man at 3:11 p.m. reported he lost his wallet. The man later called back and said a Good Samaritan had found and returned his wallet.

Another man at 6:10 p.m. reported he lost his wallet.

A caller from out of state at 9:04 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a relative living in Homer. Police contacted the person and all was OK.

March 24

A man at 9:54 a.m. reported a hit-and-run on Kachemak Drive. Police found the suspect vehicle and contacted the driver and issued a summons to a 24-year-old man for leaving the scene of an accident.

A person at 1:30 p.m. turned in a set of keys found at a Pioneer Avenue business.

A caller at 2 p.m. reported losing a raft near Mile 4 East End Road.

A man at 11:45 p.m. reported hearing voices and seeing people with flashlights in a parking lot on Fairview Avenue. Police responded and found all was OK. 

March 25

A caller at 8:34 a.m. reported an Internet scam.

A man at noon reported he lost his wallet.

Several callers at 8:11 p.m. reported people riding 4-wheelers in the Mariner Park lagoon in a restricted area. Police responded and warned a driver not to ride in that area.

A person at 11:18 p.m. made a 911 call of an altercation at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded.

March 26

A caller at 12:25 p.m. reported a firearm kept at a local agency for several months that had been unclaimed.

A harbor officer at 12:36 p.m. reported a man acting erratically on the Spit. The man later left the area.

A man at 5:02 p.m. reported a broken waterline in the Tulin Terrace Boulevard area. Police notified Public Works.

March 27

A person at 1:10 a.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at a Bunnell Avenue address. Police responded and separated the parties for the night.

A man at 8:50 a.m. reported finding footprints behind a Main Street home. Police offered to do extra patrols in the area at night.

A person at 10:30 a.m. made a 911 call of a “report every dangerous driver immediately complaint” on Lake Street. Police stopped and contacted the suspect driver.

A man at 10:40 a.m. reported he lost his wallet.

An official from an agency at 6:30 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Skyline Drive home. Police responded and arrested a 51-year-old man for violating conditions of release.

A woman at 3:58 p.m. reported a theft at a Fairview Avenue address.

March 28

A caller at 2:10 a.m. reported a barking dog in the Kramer Lane area. Police responded and issued a disorderly conduct warning to the dog’s owner.
